Norma PEP-клиент.
The program is intended for reduction of amplitudes to the average value in the window along the specified hodograph. The hodograph is read out from the database. According to it the shift of the starting point of normalization is set.
The program is PEP-client, thus it is started from the shell of packet execution program pktexec, which gives tools for
setting of the parameters, control of execution of the program and viewing the protocol of the program operation.
The setting of parameters and start of the program is executed from the shell of packet execution program pktexec. The standard session consists of the following steps:
- Start of the program from the menu of the VSP package.
- Setting of the project, the data directory of which includes the initial modification (menu item File - > Project...).
- Setting of the input and output modifications and selection of the table containing the times of first breaks.
- Setting of the normalization starting point offset with respect to the time of hodograph. The offset is set with sign in milliseconds and
is added to the value of the time of hodograph.
- Setting of the width of the window for calculation of the normalizing coefficient.
- Start of the program execution (button Start in the toolbar or menu item Mute - > Start).
- To view the resulting modification it is necessary to press the button View near the name of the output modification on the panel of results.
To view the protocol of passing of the program it is necessary to press the button View log on the toolbar or to select the menu item Mute - > View log.
- In order to exit the environment of packet execution it is necessary to press the button Exit on the toolbar or to select the menu item File - > Exit.
- Name: Data modification for transforming
The type: nmod_s
The description: Name of modification with traces moved to an input of the program.
- Name: Resulting data modification
The type: nmod_e
The description: Name of the output modification. The name should be set in the form of Sxxx, where xxx are digits.
All actual input traces will be written in this modification, and the traces which fall in the indicated range
of cable depthes will be muted along hodograph.
- Name: Time hodograph
The type: dbname_s (FBLIST)
The description: Data base table with a time hodograph, along which the muting will be performed.
The field TFB of a data base table is considered the time of hodograph.
- Name: Shift of window from hodograph, ms
The type: float
The description: Shift of the window with respect to the hodograph. The value is added to the time of hodograph
- Name: Length of window, ms
The type: float
The description: Width of the window for computation of the normalizing coeffficint
- In the set window the sum of squares of amplitudes is calculated. The obtained value is divided into
quantity of numbers and the square root is extracted from the result. From the values of amplitudes in the
windows obtained for all traces the average value is calculated. Then at the second pass the normalizing
coefficient is calculated for each trace. It is equal to the ratio of average amplitude to
its value for this trace, and the whole trace is multiplied by this coefficient.
-
- Name: Current cable depth
The type: float
The description: current cable depth of the processed trace
-
- Name: Resulting data modification
The type: nmod_s
The description: a name of the output modification
- Name: Count of all input traces
The type: int
The description: total number of the traces moved to the input.
- Name: Count of written traces
The type: int
The description: number of traces written to the output modification.
For detailed acquaintance with user interface of the packet execution program, see the description of the program pktexec.
All traces of the indicated modification are moved to the input of the program.
Only actual traces are accepted for procesing (ACT! =0).
The output modification can not coincide with the input modification.
The hodograph is read out from the table such as FBINFO. The time of hodograph is taken
from the TFB field, and the comparison of the point of hodograph and the trace is done
according to coincidence of HCAB and NMGL fields to the appropriate fields in the header
of the examined trace body.
All actual traces with the values of samples changed according to the job are written
in the resulting file with a name of the output modification.
The program gets the name of the operative project through the variable of environment PROJECT. If the program is started
from the shell, this condition is fulfilled by selection of the operative project.
The program determines the location of the system files of the package from a variable VSPHOME, defined in the user`s
profile or in the file setup in the home directory of the user of the package. The file setup the given variable can appear also
under the name of VSP.
The program searches for the description of parameters in files $VSPHOME/etc/Norma.pep and $VSPHOME/etc/vsp.pep.
The user`s home directory should contain a file setup. This file should contain paths to the directories of data, jobs and
protocols of execution of the projects and also paths to the system files of the VSP package.
Other requirements are defined by the shell of the packet execution program pktexec.
All messages are moved to the standard stream of errors. If the program is started from under the interactive shell, the
messages are saved to the file of the protocol of the transmission of the job LOG/$PROJECT/Norma-#.log. The messages of
classes EL_FATAL and EL_ERROR are placed in the area of messages of the interactive shell after the program termination.
